I'm Scott Cohoon. I have run Cornerstone Painting since 1999, and on a commercial job you deal with the owner, not a salesman. Four small jobs means four bosses to answer to. One building means one, and it gets the same crew, the same prep, and a number I stand behind.

Property type, rough square footage or the areas involved, and the window you want it done in. A walkthrough beats a guess, so I come look.
No estimator, no salesman. I walk the building, price the prep and the coatings, and hand you a clear number. The bid is free.

Houses are where this company started and I have not walked away from them. Exteriors that need real prep, interiors after a remodel, ceilings 25 to 30 feet up, cabinets, stairwells on two levels. That work is worth doing and I am glad to do it.
Old houses with rot and decay take a lot more effort than a large commercial project, so I am picky about which ones I take on. Call me, tell me what the house needs, and I will tell you straight whether it is a fit.

Painting is not like other trades. My crew is not out at the curb. They are in your living room, your kitchen, your stairwell, around your family and your things. I believe that if a crew is coming into your house, you should be able to greet them by name.
With Cornerstone, you can. No salesman knocks ahead of the crew. I write the estimate myself and work the job myself, and that is still the whole arrangement.

I walk the job, check what the surfaces need, and give you a clear number. You talk to me, not a desk. The man pricing the work is the man responsible for it.
The finish is only as good as what's under it. Powerwash, defect and rot check, carpentry repairs where needed, prime and caulk, all before the brush or roller ever touches the wall.
I've been doing it myself since day one. Navy discipline means done is actually done. My crew packs up, cleans up, and leaves your home the way they found it.
