Painting is the trade you invite inside. My crew is in your home, around your family and your things. I have a simple rule about that: no strangers in your house. This page is the answer.
Most trades work on your house. A painter works inside it. For a few days there’s a crew in your kitchen, your hallway, your kids’ rooms, around everything you own. My rule about that is simple, and it’s the reason this page exists: when you invite a painter into your home, you should know who you’re working with.
So here it is, plainly. I’m Scott Cohoon, a retired U.S. Navy veteran. I founded Cornerstone Painting, and I have been the owner, the operator, and the craftsman behind the work the whole way. Nobody knocks ahead of me. The person who walks your job and quotes your job is the same person who shows up to do it.
And the phone number on this site is not a call center. It’s me. Call it, tell me what you’re looking at, and I’ll come see it myself. That’s the whole system, and it’s the same one I started with.
The work covers more ground than most crews will touch: exteriors on three-level hillside homes, cedar siding, interiors with 25 and 30-foot ceilings, stairwells, repaints after a remodel, and the industrial jobs most painters won’t bid at all. Water towers. Structural steel. Sandblasting prep. The jobs change. The standard doesn’t, and neither do I.

Most small jobs run two to three days, and that is deliberate: paint needs proper dry time between coats. Fast where it should be, never rushed where it shouldn't.
Honest
No desk between us, and no upsell. I look at the job myself and give you a straight number. If something under the paint needs fixing first, I tell you that too.
