Painting in Tea

A growing town keeps a painter busy.

Tea has grown from a crossroads into one of the fastest-growing towns in the state. That's the kind of work a town like this generates: first repaints on decade-old builds, interior updates as families settle in, and established places near the middle of town that want the full prep treatment.

Inside or out, the job runs the same way. Look it over in person, put a real number on it, prep before paint, and proper dry time between coats. I wouldn't run a job any other way.

How close are we to Tea?

Tea sits southwest of Sioux Falls right off I-29. A short run for estimates and jobs on the west side.

01

Right off I-29

Tea is a short run southwest of Sioux Falls. It gets the same scheduling attention as any job in the city.

02

New homes and established ones

A newer house doesn't guarantee quality paint. We look at every home the same way, starting with the prep.

03

Inside work, outside work

Exteriors get the weather-first treatment. Interiors get clean cut lines, covered floors, and color matched to what's already on the wall.

Good painting keeps an honest schedule.

Most small jobs run two to three days because coats need real dry time between them. You'll know the plan before work starts, and a one-day rush job is something we just don't sell.

More recently they painted our main level following a kitchen remodeling project. This involved painting 25-30 foot ceilings, a stairwell on two levels and the walls.

How it works

The order of operations, start to finish.

Four steps, same order every time. Most of the care goes into the prep, because that's what decides how long the finish lasts.

01

Call Scott

Tell me what you're working with. A house exterior, an interior after a remodel, a commercial building. You're talking to the owner from the first minute, and I'll set up a time to come look.

02

I come out and look at it myself

I walk the job, check what the surfaces need, and give you a clear number. You talk to me, not a desk. The man pricing the work is the man responsible for it.

03

Prep work done right

The finish is only as good as what's under it. Powerwash, defect and rot check, carpentry repairs where needed, prime and caulk, all before the brush or roller ever touches the wall.

04

I check it before it's called done

I've been doing it myself since day one. Navy discipline means done is actually done. My crew packs up, cleans up, and leaves your home the way they found it.
